Serious question ^ why did you go to spirit ? So now you’ll be working for the biggest ULCC (if this goes through ) and Nr5 biggest airline in the US with a relatively painless merger of models, which will obviously give you leverage as they have to come to the group before a JCBA.
2 whole years of experience at Spirit ? Leave for JetBlue. You have nothing to loose yet. They are hiring. You’ll be a lot happier. Not being sarcastic here. If it’s so bad for you please leave. If you decide to stay I’ll still pay for your beers when you fly with me.

And why is there more leverage with ulccx2 vs JetBlue in negotiations? I don’t see any greater “advantage” to one or the other. Both require a jcba, and contrary to popular belief, the bigger pilot group doesn’t “control” the vote. The common theme among all 3 groups during this entire process has been for a great contract.

I came to spirit so that I could drive to work and spend more time with my family (QOL) with the added benefit that everybody I work with is pretty cool, and I put up with everything else for those two things. Frontier will close my base and I will lose both of them. Jetblue MIGHT not.
And I dont know why you think they have any urgency to merge operations giving us leverage with the JCBA. Financially it makes no difference how long spirit and frontier stay separate since, as you said, the models are so similar. They can stall negotiations as long as they want while waiting for a recession to force concessions.

The new company is going to be a steaming pile of dog ****. They wont post profit for at least 5 years. Attrition through the roof, moral through the floor. We had to drastically reduce our flying just to prevent the tidal meltdowns. Imagine what it will be like when we are double the size with half of the trips starting in hurricane country.
Praying jetblue ups the offer and seals the deal before the 30th. I really dont want to have to update 2 years worth of logbook entries.

however Morale at spirit really is pretty decent.. Atleast amongst my friends and the peeps I fly with.
if, as a combined company 5 years from now we aren’t making a profit then I doubt anyone will be. We still have some of the lowest CASM out there.
and JetBlue is certainly hiring .. just keep in mind almost their entire route structure is in ‘hurricane country’ and ‘snow storm’ country. Better get that logbook up to date ..

Are you being purposely dense or is it just a mistake of birth? I have been perfectly happy for the last 2 years, i am referencing the new company.
