If every JB guy can understand this and communicate with their NC to try to work with Spirit NC to agree on implementing this in a JCBA then im all onboard. If this is all about money, then you all should apply to UAL or Delta. 100% of the people I know that have applied there over the last year have been called within 3-4 months and are hired! I believe if JB pilots will work with us and spread the word to their fellow pilots that we have a great system here and to adopt it while still getting a pay increase, it can work.

Otherwise, JB combined with Spirit will just be another airline, no QOL, no ability to drop, etc. Might as well just leave and work at the big 3 and get paid for it.
I am confident a JCBA with JBU/SPA will be quite good. A good JCBA will go a long way to mitigate integration/attrition issues, and the cost will be a drop in the bucket compared to the total acquisition cost, especially when you consider it could curb attrition, one of the biggest issues each of these airlines face right now (to a point where it is now and will continue to impact growth). Also, the time value of them not getting a JCBA and delaying the integration puts leverage on the pilots’ side. And when we are talking 8,000+ pilots negotiating with jetblue mgmt vs 5k pilots negotiating with F9 mgmt/Franke, I know which negotiating position I’d rather be in.

For a newbie that is supposed to start training in August at his first airline, what is the typical timeline for JCBA to be finalized, enacted etc?

SWA pilots can drop to 0 too in the trade board. You know what else hasn't been possible since 2015? Having nothing on your schedule as a SWA pilot since 2015. NK can drop to 0 WITHOUT the trade board. And my wife makes more as a SWA FO than you make at JB.

Did I miss the part where Frontier has the same QOL and drop to zero as us? No matter which we end up with, we’ll still be fighting to get their QOL to match ours. I have no idea why people seem to think that F9 has equal QOL to us, or why some people still think that “the bigger pilot group” will control the JCBA votes. Neither is true.

Either way it makes our BOD look quite bad.

Either way I think it puts paid to F9 buying NK any time soon.

If even half of what JetBlue has put out is true, they are going to trigger a stockholder class action lawsuit alleging the BOD has failed in their due diligence and is enriching themselves at stockholder expense through a sweetheart deal with board members. That will almost require that a restraining order be put on the buyout until the case is settled.

If JetBlue can’t back up their allegations, they can be countersued.

My guess?

Either

1. The NK BOD finds some fig leaf to hide their embarrassment (like the $3 a share differential) and reverses themselves and goes with B6
2. F9 SUBSTANTIALLY upgrades their offer.

Linus Larrabee: What's the problem, Patrick?

Patrick Tyson: No problem from our point of view. I feel like... what's that word when a lot of guys are after you?

Linus Larrabee: Wh*re

Patrick Tyson: Hmm... I was thinking more... debutante

Trade board?!!! Are you effin kidding me?? I drop without the trade board every single month!! EVERY MONTH!!! I am home all the time and not missing kids birthdays, events!! Enough of your nonsense!! The point is here that if you are excited about your tradeboard, i have news for you... IT CAN BE EVEN BETTER MY FRIEND!! LOL Email your NC and tell them you want to adopt Spirit's bidding system, scheduling flexibility and beable to drop to zero without tradeboard, also the ability to pickup in any base with no restrictions. Spirit is a place that is good for everybody, you can work as much as you want or as little as you want and be home or run a side business, etc We can do the same with a JCBA AND still get pay increases! WIN WIN for everybody. I also recommend keeping the X/Y list on days off, you will be called anyway as the pilot shortage continues.

This is great if you want to make money, but if you dont want to make 200% then you can simply not list for it and stay home with the kids and take the boat out. We have the best of both worlds

Dumping every trip on my schedule into open time is much different than having to find someone to pick it up. Both groups have some good and bad in their CBA’s.

I’m just shocked at lol “pilots” are voting because they own stock. Most are armchair quarterbacks, lawyers, economic/retirement gurus amongst other professions. Now we airline merger experts. Jesus help us. How bout the proxy requirement require a explanation of why you voted as such. Dumba$$ reasons get thrown out. Kinda like the guys that ask about beards in a town hall. We are all f’d.
