I agree and I will be honest, B6 pointing that one line out has swayed my opinion slightly. Yeah seniority will take a huge hit with B6 but the odds of making more money long term, especially if NK doesnt plan on increasing pay for 5+ years begins to outweigh that.

Hes getting a massive payout either way.
I think the Spirit board got caught making a sweetheart deal amongst buddies with nice perks for themselves, and are nervous about it. Or everything is on the up and up and it’s amateur hour as they try to play with the big boys and navigate this whole thing while poorly managing their narrative.

Lol, Ted Christie has been around a while, not exactly new to this (though he isn't doing a great job of selling it on TV) and Franke and Indigo are "The Big Boys". If the NK/F9 merger doesn't happen, it's because Indigo doesn't want it to, not because JetBlue has a bunch of "big boys" running the show, lol.

Doesn’t matter, NK/B6 isn’t happening. Did anyone bother reading the talking points from todays comms? JetBlue’s offer lets them off the hook if the stock market declines more than 10% since May 13, (hmmmm anyone paying attention to recent trends? their financing expires in 14 months. Their bid is BS It’s designed to blow up the NK/F9 merger…… I said what I said. 🤷🏻♂️

It’s not the “big boys at B6” that I’m speaking of. He’s now in the deep end of the pool and not faring terribly well without Franke setting up a pretty shady looking transaction for him.
Try again.

Sigh. Ted Christie diddled with two regionals, had a stint at then nobody Frontier, and joined Spirit who is a marginal player in the airline industry. Feel free to detail his extensive experience with merging national airlines. Or staving off hostile takeovers. Yeah. Exactly.
