I wish we could just skip ahead to the arbitrator ruling now.

Looking forward to the Spirit bubbas coming on board. Oh, and no fences. Daddy needs to drive to work in DTW! 😂

What do you expect? If we bring up relative seniority over DOH you get mad. Alpa arbitration does not take future orders/reductions, relative seniority, or pay rates into account (based on AA/VA merger). Merger is now on, and you do have 60 SNB on property. Face it, you and I both just want what is best for #1. Until we are merged I support my MEC in fighting for me, and I expect the same of you. As far as the JCBA goes, we are the same group fighting management.

100% agree. And I'm not mad at any NK who tries to make an argument that helps their position. It's not personal, it's business. I may disagree with their point of view but I'd probably have the same one if I was them. Bottom line is there's a handful of pilots on both sides with that committee that have any influence. Ultimately it will be determined by an arbiter no doubt. My hope is we can move on from that and galvanize to come together and get a top shelf JCBA because that's where we'll all make our $ and QOL.

Protects certain bases for a certain amount of time for a determined amount of time. So an airline that merged can bid bases/aircraft even if pilots from the other airline has higher seniority post merge.

it's to temporarily prevent someone from bidding into another position brought on by the other company due to career expectations, usually used for WB type flying. These guys are just messing around.

Who's messing around? I hope there are no fences but you can be territorial with bases just as you can with categories of aircraft. I sincerely hope there are no fences and people's position are protected with a no bump/flush policy. Would be the best outcome.
