I second this!

I understand the FO grid has been almost entirely red for some extended time now due to understaffing but in normal times it works well.
Not in ORD. Heavy green. Have dropped 8 trips in June and July so far this Summer.

I get what you're saying but just stating the facts. They are continuing to back-fill pilots that are leaving as well. So I'm not quite understanding the logic of that when the Union email said they would be stopping that a couple months ago.

Its only overstaffed because of how they built the flying to get ready for a massive reduction. ORD could easily support more departures per day.

So can DFW. Doesn’t change the fact the company wants to take those planes and pilots and put them somewhere where they can make more money for the company.

I think the goal will be with JBLU is to build these bases back up over time to go head to head with legacy carriers in these hubs, namely AA, because we (JBLU future) will have the size to compete with the legacy carriers. We are such easy pickings for them in ORD and DFW with fare matching

Exactly this! Spirit has been running from AA for the last 5 yrs or so out of DFW. Delta sure has built up their presence there again and I don’t see blue running scared in the future at dfw either when this deal is done.

Cue the “but the NEA prevents JetBlue from fighting with AA!” fear mongering.

Maybe you could get BlueDiver to explain how the jet blue effect will cripple and bankrupt AA in Dallas?
