Looking forward to seeing the results of unions questionnaire regarding current pilots future plans, CJO's and such; might have to have a pilot retention bonus to keep operating? Surprised by the amount of senior Captains and Check Airman leaving.

Is it surprising though? Difficult decision, but I don’t think it’s surprising at all

Like all of their questionnaires, it’s loaded skewing for the result they want to see. Less and less write in responses.

Do you guys have a Monthly/daily update to your active roster that you can use to see the real attrition? I don't doubt that it is significant as everything I hear from folks in the know at the big 3 is that most of our classes are having a very high percentage of experienced Spirit folks, but I am trying to figure out if that is exagerated talk or actual big numbers that will ultimately benefit those that don't leave.
Mostly just trying to see if it is a big enough group that has left to start making Spirit change their furlough / downgrade plans significantly? Figure if 100 folks have left in January (which seems total possible with the AA and UA class numbers I have heard) does that make Spirit realize they can't afford to downgrade and furlough as soon enough they could actually be short pilots?
Any inside actual info on the size of the seniority list from say last Fall to now would be interesting to hear rather than just "everybody is leaving"

Hey I hear other pilots getting water canon salutes for “Retiring” and going to another airline.
anybody know who I can message about getting mine set up before I leave?
I guess we’re getting water cannon salutes for making a good decision??
and I hear if you’re under the age of 40, you also get a ticker-tape parade through the terminal with a brass band.

ALPA absolutely has access to the data. They had been emailing attrition numbers during negotiations quarterly but I don't know if they still are. The furlough and downgrade numbers have an attrition figure assumed into them but I don't know if that figure has been met or exceeded yet.
