That is correct. Anything you post under your name will stay with you for life. No offense Norman but I advise everyone to not participate on the NK board. You can't erase the internet.

Probably training cancellations?

2- Maybe people think if they post under their own name, and God forbid they need the protection they have been paying for for years, find an unsympathetic MEC due to a post on your sans anonymity board.

3- I don't think anyone would post anything here we would not want management to see, much less be subpoena worthy. The point on the legal end is that ALPA - whom we each pay thousands to each year- used legal wrangling to silence our voice and stop the exchange of information between members. They feel the need to control the narrative and independent thought (unless it is MEC approved) is not only frowned upon, but will be stifled if given a legal opportunity. They used our own money to shut us up... awesome play. Step out of line and they will shut you down too.
...forgot to answer this. I agree with most of what you've said. I have never seen anything posted here worth going after for the company. But the point is it can be done and it has been done before.

I disagree with the MEC trying to control independent thought. They certainly have their own plan of action executed the way they think it is best. It is hard to talk them out of it but that is why they are called leadership and no matter how many "new" blood joins their rank they all seem to end up supporting old policies. That must mean something.

As far as the old board goes. I was told some rumors about who ran it. I will never say what I have heard but... wow... if that was true I am glad the place is gone. At the end I will never know for sure.

But let me ask you one thing. How anonymous is a web board where every user is verified except the owner of the board???

With a 10 year history of not a single person being outed I would say pretty darn anonymous.

Trip F4903. Bid on it twice today, both times denied saying trip not available. Scheduler says upper management wants it to go to a reserve.

It was for today. If we can't pick it up why is it sitting in open time?

It gives the company flexibility. If they didn't have the right reserve to fit the trip they would be glad you called. Sounds like they had the right reserve, so better (cheaper) to pay the reserve guarantee than to pay you extra. Can't blame them on that one. They may not have assigned it yet, again for flexibility. Once assigned that reserve doesn't have to answer the phone anymore so if an earlier trip pops up that reserve is useless. Just guessing here.
