Sounds like those AAL pay rates mask their lack of parity in work rules with Delta (or even us in certain respects).

If you don't know anyone over there (at AA) and hear first hand some of the stuff in their contract you wouldn't believe it.
I have a buddy there for about a year and a half and he's constantly mentioning some thing or other that's allowed or not allowed and my only response is "are you f-ing kidding me?!?"
'Course having said that, they still have plenty of good stuff that we don't!

I loved training in FLL last time. I would much rather be getting paid 50 hours to drift off in ground school for 3 days, rather than do 2 Spirit unproductive 4 days.
We all know this LOA isnt going to provide the language to get paid 50+ hours for "at home ground school." I like being home but you are still going to have to travel to FLL for a day of drills anyways, and travel back and forth each way. Since I have to go anyways, Ill stay for the entire 5 days, and you will have to pay me, versus 3 days to FLL with travel, for a lot less pay.
And remember 3 days of training will NOT touch 2 4-day trips for paid drops, 4 or 5 days to FLL WILL either touch 2 4-day trips or provide for 7 days consecutive and require a drop.
