I'm not in the union. I only have been talking about this recently at work because it's alarming how few guys have read the emails regarding pay and retirement standards. How do we vote in something that's fair and equitable if we have no idea what that baseline is? Or should we just throw caution to the wind and all allow the 60-70% who seem to give a sh*t right now determine our fate ?

Maybe it's because more people show up at Bone Daddy's then past 77 meetings. Oh, wait a minute, do you mean the Bone Daddy's in DFW or LAS? I thought 77 members had to travel to LAS to be heard. If they are having one in DFW, it is only to suit their (77 reps) purposes.

Here is how it works. MEC/NC TA the best deal they think they can get. Those 26-30% of us that read it, find it lacking and vote to send it back, are out voted by those that take the MEC's "yes" recommendation and/or those that defecate their shorts due to the MEC's straw man.

Thanks for the overview. While this is a likely outcome, it becomes definite through apathy, ignorance and misinformation. This is a far different company than in c2010 and for anyone let alone the 26%ers to roll over and expect a loss does nothing for the betterment of the pilot group

Complaining simply to complain, aren't ya?

What's the issue with having a LEC meeting in DFW where the majority of the pilots are based in 77? I welcome it and thank the 77 Reps for flying out to do it.

Wait...I mean "Union! Yuck, phew, conspiracy!"

Meanwhile our fancy ALPA bulletin boards in the crewroom are collecting dust.

Exactly. Those comparisons should be tacked to those boards or printed and dropped in every pilots v file for something to read on their 3 or 4 day. This way it reduces the likelihood of the information falling on deaf ears

Not complaining there, Juicey... just being realistic. DFW was shut out of an important vote. That was a choice. The MEC does build straw men, that is a choice.

You wanna play blind man, go walk with the shepherd, but me, my eyes are wide effin open.

I believe the number was around 46$million? Can anyone correct me on that please. And was that 46 annually or 46 over the next five years of the contract duration?

Thanks.
