Spirit of NKS
I don't think anyone is hunting OT flyers. As I've said before I try to fly lots of OT but it's fukcing exhausting. I'm just starting to get really irritated that we had a room of guys show up to argue about who can pick up what open time and when, when we are in negotiations for a new contract where we have unprecedented leverage for more compensation. There is a whole forest of money trees yet this group continues to fight over who gets to take home the pathetic Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Open your fukcing eyes people. Members of the negotiating team were there but instead a precious meeting was wasted on this piece of **** resolution instead of maybe talking to them about a new contract. Beyond frustrating!

I second the AMEN! Hallelula! I don't fly OT just because im a commuter, but it was the arrogance of the out of base open time question post that brought me in. Limiting what we can make is dumb enough but to do it with negotiations going on is flatout stupid. Let's bust our nut in the parking lot before we even get to go inside to see the girls. I'd rather not have anymore union meetings if were gonna sidetrack the negotiators with these worthless resolutions.
You guys are totally right on this one. There should be a mass effort to pick up all the 109 CA OT. The problem is that it still wont slow down Kiwi or Capraro. What is P2P saying about this issue? I haven't spoke to any of them.
SPA MEC meets in FLL April 14-15th. Be there!
Before, MOST people got a single decent JA a month with a trip RLS and called it good and set back on cruise control at 100+ hours for the month. Then as the union tightened down on these voluntary JAs something happened. . . . And then I ran because I was ticked I had to pick up red eyes etc to cover what was typically a cake walk to get 100 hours.
17% of the vote thinks a pilot who picks up open time when his fellow pilots are furloughed is "great", and was "ticked" he wasn't able to get a JA each month and violate the CBA's limit of 5 JA's a year - so he ran for MEC rep . . . and won.
At least he's involved, and stepped up. Will anyone else?
Find out April 14-15th, when the Spirit ALPA MEC meets in FLL at our MEC offices (this is published on the Spirit ALPA site, but, just in case you don't read it, I'm mentioning it here too - ask your rep for directions to the office, since that info should remain of a public board). Given that no more than 5 pilots usually show up for an LEC meeting (after 200+ pilots complain about the MEC not listening to them), I'm betting no more than 3 pilots who aren't on the MEC or one of the committees are there. Be there, or let the MEC decide your fate in a vacuum.
17% of all voting power for our future is speaking right there.

P2P, what a joke. Marsha Graff, trying to suck up to every MEC since she started here. What a phony! What a waste of time. Watch what she does when the shooting starts.

In general, this is the best group of pilots that any airline could ask for. Lets start acting like it, even on this "anonymous" board.
Hey, you are still a FNG and I remember when you used to post everything from the old board to this within seconds. This insulting of people does us no good and makes us weak.
