Good to here but wouldn't the company love to approve this if it meant given something up in negotiations. Really dumb time to bring this resolution up.

They won't because it will screw the rsv coverage even more than it is now... Think about it, when we don't get what we want we call in sick, problem solved, they know this... Agreed this was a dumbass idea to bring this up with section 6 starting in a couple months, again some folks here can't see the forest through the trees.

Most FLL captains at this meeting are constantly trying to figure out how to work more to make more instead of getting paid more.

The spirit of old trained them to pick up lots of extra flying with tons of open time 150% pay and seemingly unlimited jrms with rls from your regular schedule. They litterally don't know how to function on their line value alone.

Hey I'm the same way because quite honestly our contract pays crap wages for today's market but instead of trying to find ways that I can keep begging, borrowing, and stealing, extra work I want to focus on making a shiit ton more for my regular schedule. Maybe they want both, I don't know but it sure seems like they just want to work more

I swear we have pilots that would agree to a pay cut in exchange for 150% pickup. I have never seen a pilot group that wants to work as hard as this one.

I hear ya on that (working hard). Before, MOST people got a single decent JA a month with a trip RLS and called it good and set back on cruise control at 100+ hours for the month. Then as the union tightened down on these voluntary JAs something happened. People began being compelled to pick up in order to still have the 100 hours of credit. In order to do so they had to pick up tons of little crappy paying trips at straight pay, not one decent trip at 200%. And then.... open time disappeared. And then I ran because I was ticked I had to pick up red eyes etc to cover what was typically a cake walk to get 100 hours. I didn't depend on that credit until my wife lost her job. Thankfully that difficult time is over.

During that same period, yes, there were folks who's thirst could not be quenched. 200 hours was not uncommon for them. I sure would like to get paid 200 hours. Not going to lie.

This is the old school, Capraro, KiwI girl, day laborer mentality. This airline is filled with them. Like a rat in a restaurant dumpster that will unchecked eat himself to death.

Hey kiwi,

Why did you do the Vegas turn out of DFW on Saturday night? Special pairing? Deadhead built out of Fort Lauderdale?…yup! Did u get a jrm outta it too? That is so weird since the 48 hour thing was instituted a few weeks ago and many get every single flica alert for Fort Lauderdale and that trip was never in open time!

If you do not get special deals and are so concerned with open time why did you list your entire schedule last month on the trade board for drop? I'm so tired of this ****.

You put all these rules in place and write the resolution for an entire company and have the nerve to go through the back door?!!

I cannot wait to vote on this and watch it get voted down 99%/1%

The nerve you have!!!!!....we are 1100+ pilots and because you and 30 of your friends are ****ed off you try to change it for everyone!!! Let alone dividing the pilot group and showing weakness right before contract negotiations!!!!

Typical hypocrits. This resolution will get voted down and by a large margin. I said it before this is about greed and wanting more and more and more.

Or instead of that we could just get paid what we are supposed to. For me to make the same as a legacy pilot of my same longevity and seat I have to credit about 130hrs every month to make what he makes on guarantee not even counting retirement

And even in the "easy days" of a jrm and release every month to get to 100hrs a pilot would still have to be willing to work on his days off even if he gets his original working days off w the rls. That's no way to live for most people. We have families. I want to bid lines I like and try to swap if I don't get it. But waiting by the phone on all my days off and not leaving town so I can jump when scheduling says how high is complete bull. Fair compensation for an honest days work and go home to use the boat and coach the soccer team. That's all I want.
