So out of one side of managements mouth they are asking the union for help and out of the other side rumors are spreading that the pilots are on strike.

I doubt that when its time to negotiate Bendo will remember any of this.

"At one point yesterday, the operation as a whole was in danger of shutting down completely. This current level of delays and cancellations is unsustainable and, if left to continue, will be unrecoverable. My fellow pilots, make no mistake—if that happens, there will not be a sustainable future here at Spirit."

Wow! Way to show your cards. Looks like we need to find a backbone for our mec leaders.

I doubt Bendo will be here when it's time to 'remember' the favor. It would surprise me if JS makes it through this as well.

We'll see how the board views this poor planning.

Ackerman is in upgrade training. I'm sure he is concerned. He should not have supported relief for a self imposed melt down.

Why not just open the floodgates for 200%? Now the company can recover at a discount on our backs.

"It’s easy to lead in good times, but the difficult times present challenges. However, given the consequences for our careers and the well-being of the people who depend on us, we needed to respond to this situation in a constructive and positive way."

Lead? I'm speechless! Absolutely F@#$ing speechless!

Talk about a loaded gun. ***? Take the DAL TA pay rates, say sign, relief granted. All pilots hands on. While we are at it, give the FAS a decent bump to their CBA too. All problems solved.

What I find shocking is how quiet my phone is! I dropped down to 60hrs this month so I put myself available the last few days. Not a peep! A trip I tried picking up ( only missing a captain) yet got denied (didn't realize was within 2 days), was one of the many trips that got cancelled! Can't even help if you try!

Yep, same here. No calls. Off till the end of the month.. Maybe I'll call JS and work for 1/2 pay.

^^^^^^ this! At the very least give every pilot ja "200%" pay for voluteering. I mean the one thing spirit has plenty of is money in the bank. Management 101 throw money and people at the problem and it will be fixed. Problem is management at spirit thinks they can get it fixed without the money part. If we are in emergency then pay emergency pay 400%

My phone has been quiet too while I wait for a 200% pay trip. Right now there are 2 open f/o FLL trips that that have a check in 2 hours from now. 6 reserves yesterday, 5 today and 7 tomorrow. What happened to that reserve availability screen being full every day? Continually trying to stuff 10 pounds of **** in a 5 pound bag and make wheelbarrows of money has brought them to this time to pay the piper. Not the time to bend over for some "meltdown" not of the pilots doing. Saving money on crew costs by being behind the power curve on hiring and upgrading along with some bad weather plus scheduling's fancy algorithm of screwed up plane changes and f/a chasers has finally met it's match.
