Their offer was DOS + 5 still less than Jetblue and you give up transition.

Stop enabling them and helping them.

Not sure what you mean, care to elaborate?

Wow that really does sound like Bendo. Nice try saying all PBS are paid less than we are but using only JetBlue as the rate. Lets compare W-2 with delta American or united which all have PBS and you show me where spirit makes more money being just "8 dollars less"
Sorry what I meant was your new contract rate. Say if DL is x /hr and you got x-8 / hr that with superior soft rules you could come out even or ahead.

The only superior soft time we have is transition conflict and only about 10% of the group gets it reliably, myself included, and I have to bid lines I hate to get it. It also doesn't make you money unless you pick up over top if it.

Vacation conflicts are not soft time because you pay for every hour dropped out if your earned vacation bank. There is no free lunch there.

Training conflicts only helped some because we can train on days off. Soon we will all train on days off on our iPads so what little soft time was there is gone.

Now "ask me about my four days off". Also ask a southwest pilot that has min 16 in 31 day month and min 15 in a 30 day month how many days off he has between trips. I guarantee it's almost always at least four and for those lines that have two days off one week will have 10 the next and there are a portion of pilots that will bid those.

Let's stop kidding ourselves that we have some superior work rules that no one else has.

You are saying exactly what I have been advocating to others I work with. The work rules we have are nothing great. I think the part some like is the ability to credit high hours every month. I don't know about you, but I would rather do it at a much higher pay rate and not have to be out flying my a55 off every month and manipulating my schedule to do so.

Just be careful about giving the 4 days off up. I'm not advocating one way or the other but bc of the new 117 rules ( rolling not 30/7) they could just continually schedule with two days a week off if they felt like it.

They couldn't continually build schedules with two days off between pairings. One of those stretches of days off would have to be at least 6 or 7 in order to get us to our min days off for the month. Not a fan of getting rid of the 4 days off, but it wouldn't even be an issue if we had a higher min day off requirement like SW has.

I thought 5 yrs of pinnacle training prepared you enough.

Not if you have a min 16 days off in the month. You're right, with the current 13 days off they could and that's why it would never be considered.
