Yes, I'm a Spirit captain and yes I would like to have the door hit me on the way out to Delta or United.

Is that like me wishing I won't the lottery (but never buy tickets?), or are you actively applying and trying to leave here?

I'm sure you will do fine....as long as you werent in OCC last week. Their alpa hiring committee has your name if you were there. You will get the interview but won't get the job.

By all means, unless you're a fairly new CA, you're senior to me, so shove off and chase the legacies. As far as the guys helping out in the occ, I'm sure they're looking for some sort of management spot and probably dont have a desire to leave. We still have an opening for a chief pilot. Also, if our MEC signed off on helping the company out, how is big ALPA gonna come down on guys that helped out with the MEC's blessing? Including the MEC chair? I'm against guys going in and helping out, and the little thought that this would help us in the negotiating process seemed to backfire. Not much recognition from management other than a couple of Atta Boys.

Heard around the FLL campus today that six NK pilots have quit for greener pastures. IMHO if you're under 40 you should be actively looking at this point in the hiring wave at the legacies.

Quit just today? Or is this over a period of time? In my experience, the pastures are usually greener because they shovel a lot more manure over them.

Thanks a lot boys, I hope Juri loves you long time!
That is a stupid, baseless thing to say.
I don't agree with any of those guys helping the company and it should have ended as soon as our relief was done, but as far as getting hired at another Alpa company, give me a break dude.
Tell that to the scabs that have seem to have found their way back into the ranks at other places.

I have said this also. If you are in your 20's or 30's, you are doing yourself and your family a disservice by not at least trying to get hired at American or Delta. Don't let a decade go by and wish you would have.

I'd be willing to bet this is completely untrue the way it implies. I think there have been six since January

I'm in the low 700's and moved up 5 spots from vacancy 15-05 to 15-06. Not sure, but I don't think we had five retire in the past month.

Ultimately the scabs found work. Like at the FAA, Value Jet and the like, just not Delta or United.
