I didn't do it, and I'm not going to, so chill big man. My point is, if you talk to the guy and that doesn't work, you go to professional standards, and that doesn't work, what else are your options? What I'm getting at is professional standards needs to have a role in appearances. After all, it's all part of professionalism...

Email me or even call me if you want, I'm the jumpseat committee chairman. Some scab I am...

I think accusing him of scabbing is a bit over the line. That term gets tossed around too easily......just saying.

Are you up because of work or did it take you until midnight to get that much alcohol into you to accuse someone of scabbing? Just saying.

If I keep saying, just saying that makes it better, right?

Thanks for the hard work and effort on the Jumpseat Committee.

All due respect, I'm only concerned with my own appearance as far as uniform standards and O.P.Ps. (Other Peoples' PAs) go.

I don't get paid to check out what other pilots wear to work. I don't get paid to critique the Captain's freestyle on the mic.

Not my job, not my problem!

If the desk pilots in Miramar decide to enforce those things, that's THEIR JOB!

I think it is a bit your problem because those PAs and appearances contribute to the passenger experience. However small they may be they do factor into them returning or not.

Delivering the passengers to their destination without turning them into a flaming ball of shredded meat and metal is my role to play in the "passenger experience".

I'm not saying you are, but I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. Heck, I heard one even got elected at b6.

I agree but if you are here for the long haul, then not having fellow pilots making the experience worse than it already is would be helpful. We can be cheap and professional. Not saying you aren't but one guy can influence how 228 pax view our professional group and how they portray us to their friends and family.
