I don't know when/how often these fairs are held, but do agree that attendance is the best shot for a pilot without internal help - heck, it's probably best even if you DO have internal help. Check the Spirit website, I'm sure they put the info up there somewhere, and I think we got an e-mail about the last one, which isn't very helpful if you don't know one of us, admittedly.

We're certainly still hiring - we just started a new-hire class today, I think.

Sunny, thanks for your service - Afghanistan was some of the most fun I've ever had flying!

PARIS, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Discount carrier Spirit Airlines has finalized an order for 75 Airbus narrowbody passenger jets, the planemaker said on Wednesday.

The deal, worth $7 billion a list prices, includes 45 of the European company's revamped A320neo jetliners, which are due to be available later this decade.

It also calls for 30 of the 150-seat current A320 model.

It confirms a tentative agreement first announced at the Dubai air show in November.

Miramar, Florida-based Spirit, which calls itself an "ultra low-cost" carrier, operates more than 150 flights a day.

The company had a stock market debut last May.

611 was initially scheduled for a delivery on January 15. I got word 2 days ago that the scheduled delivery was set for today. I have no idea why it has been pushed nor does my contact. 611 has been sitting now in Toulouse for almost 3 weeks. This being said, we have been taking deliveries of airframes typically 1-2 weeks after the Airbus scheduled delivery date.

Cavuto is about to run a story on spirit in about 2 mins from now on Fox News Channel. I believe it's about fees and such.

Ok it was actually Ben discussing the new fee created by our meddling government burecrats...

I knew Delta had already been using the new sim, but also heard AA was going to be using it as well to fire up their Airbus program since they placed that large order for 260 buses.
