I am told it is very unlikely based on the tight booking orders. Let's put it this way, if it is, it's not coming from Airbus. A320 deliveries for this year are schedule for 01/15, February, March, May, June, September and October.

Spirit and personal closure,
Well my interview was Wednesday the 4th and have not heard anything back, so I'm fairly sure a call isn't in my future. BUT I AM NOT GIVING UP HOPE OR GOING TO QUIT TRYING. Being out of commercial aviation for 9 years I'm confident didn't help (which in saying that some of you will know who I am which is OK w me). One of the questions I wish I could answer over was "how do you rate yourself as a pilot on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best". I made the mistake of saying a 10 (which I have made mistakes and am far from perfect, so I wish I said 7-8), but I was answering more on my confidence in my ability as a pilot. I feel as pilots we need to be a fairly confident group in order to get through some of the flying situations we get into. So, do I think I am a perfect pilot..no way, but I think it may have came across that way and that was not my intent..AT ALL. I was probably a bit overzealous and excited for the opportunity to fly for an airline once again.
I must say that it was a great experience. The interview was very straight forward, relaxed and everyone was very nice. They were gracious enough to fly me to FLL (positive space), pay for my hotel and buy me lunch on the day of the interview. Everyone I met from the gate agents to the pilots to the flight attendants were very nice and helpful. That alone in my opinion says a lot about an organization.
I know some folks out there complain that they don't provide anything and that you have to pay for everything including bags. I just hope that people keep in mind that they are providing a service and like ALL services in the world you have to pay for what you want. Furthermore, keeping costs down is providing a great service to people who have family and friends not just in the states, but maybe more importantly the ones who live in South and/or Latin America, it's price prohibitive on other airlines or not available at all.
I think Spirit is a great airline and one with a promising future.
Hopefully you will keep in mind that this was just my experience and is my very humble opinion.
Thanks for letting me "bleed" a little on the forum. Now off to therapy to deal with my first "no thank you" in aviation in 25 years!! LOL
P.S - And for those who made it...nice work!!

Need- don't give up hope yet on a call. I don't want to unnesssarly keep your hopes up but don't write yourself off until you get the "thank you for your interest..." letter. A good friend of mine who interviewed about 2 months ago waited almost 2 weeks for the "yes" phone call. Coming on here and sharing nothing but good words inspite of thinking you may not have gotten it shows that you are a class act and that they may have made a mistake if they didn't hire you. If that's the case, keep in touch with people here and elsewhere at NK, keep that same attitude, and reapply as soon as you can if you still want to come here. Fingers crossed on the phone call and best of luck no matter what.
