Hey guys I submitted my app at least a year ago just as a shot in the dark. I resubmitted yesterday now that I'm an ATP with several types and PIC time. When I sent it I got a confirmation but it also said I had previously applied. Is this gonna screw me up?

I concur with Ben; When we purchase consumer goods, tax is not included into the price until we pay for it??? How come purchasing airline tickets are different than other consumer items/service? I’m thinking the Gov. is upset they are not getting their “cut” from the un-taxed fee’s?

As far as consumers go; I can see how they get frustrated with the “added on fee’s” but really...... “Bags do not fly Free” and this is just some “Band-aid” attempt to show the government is looking out in the best interest of the consumer when in all actuality, the taxes collected on the ticket constitute more than the amount going to pay the flight crew!

This is a call to Spirit pilots who understand what it is like to be on the street and need a hand getting out of the ditch. I have a applied to the company but it seem like the are only addressing internal recs. Again a call to Spirit pilots to reach out a hand and help a fellow pilot.

Everyone here sympathizes with your situation, but a recommendation of a guy one hasn't flown with or even know will not carry much water.

Cptgoldenhills. This is going to be tough without personally knowing that person.
We all know how it is to fly with a person that everyone wonders how she/he got in.

But, Ive know of 2 NH that didnt know anyone and got recommendations, interviews and job offers by just personally approaching a line pilot. So it isnt impossible.

HR has an very long list, not sure of the number, but easily over 500 resumes with recommendations. Who gets a call and how they choose its beyond me, I've got 2 on the list now for 10 months and not a call or email. So keep your chin up and keep updating your resume, NK will keep hiring for most of the year.

Sailor.

Actually when giving a recommendation we are limited to people we have flown with under professional circumstances, and only two recommendation per year. I would imagine it is not enforced but still.
