I would call or email planning about that. You should be able to participate in the bid on FMLA. You can email me if you have any problem.

Thanks Scott. I'm good, I put in for LAS last bid just incase this happened. I just find it weird that its not even showing up.

Looks like the DTW reserves are gonna have to work in feb. lots of open time with west coast stuff.

For the Spirit pilots who might now this, I see that the company has lowered the rate of hire per month from 24 to 10-12. Is it because they are getting close to the number of pilots they need for the amount of airframes that have already arrived, or are they slowing the rate down to make the training more manageable and to keep costs down. I ask because the latter gives us on the outside trying to get in lots of hope, but if they are getting lose to the numbers they need, well you can guess how we might be feeling.

We were hiring 24/ month to try and catch up. It's not manageable to continue with those numbers as we get into the busy season. You will see the monthly numbers fluctuate a little, but hiring will continue indefinitely.

Thanks capscott26, that put a little better light on the subject. I'm trying to get in while the doors are still open, HR department must be overwhelmed with the number of applications and recommendation letters they are receiving.

Capt. Scott, any input as to currency at NKS?? I meet all the quals just not current. What say you?

Well, all I know is that everyone's applications are graded by computer, assigning points for each question answered "correctly". So if you aren't current, you don't get however many points are assigned to that question. If you have the right people pulling for you, probably not an issue. If you don't have an internal rec, it may take you a while to get a call.
