Saying that the negotiation committee and MEC are dfferent from last is like saying that Bush 43 was different from Bush 41. Or saying that
Boehner is different from Hastert and Gingrich, or that Pelosi is different from Foley and Wright. Or that obama is different from Clinton and Carter.

You guys make me laugh, one past MEC Chair is forever linked with the MEC he worked for, but two Negotiating Committees ( CHAIRED BY THE SAME PERSON) over an uninterrupted time span, are NOT!

In explanation, it's called political parties and alliances. The NC Chair is old best friends with the 109 FO Rep from 2010. The MEC Chair was first elected by the 2010 MEC, with one change - who happened to be good friends with said MEC Chair. The MEC Vice Chair was Strike Chair in 2010. The recently resigned 77 Capt Rep was the 2010 strike center boss, and his replacement has his full support. I could go on.

To summarize; the people who are in charge now are on the same exact team as those in charge during the last negotiations which led to a pointless (in a lot of our opinions) strike. The problem is: a significant portion of our pilot group didnt vote for these reps. Council 109 voted the old guard out a year ago in a landslide. DFW has never had a chance to vote for Reps. Most of the bottom third of our sen list hasnt had a chance to vote. When the opportunity came up to give DFW a voice, the encumnemt team ensured that DFW based pilots were as inconvenienced as possible to suppress their vote. DFW based pilots did their best, eight DFW based pilots found a way to get to LAS and vote and the LAS based guy only received 5 more votes than the DFW based Capt. The vote held in LAS, was 15 to 11*. What would it have been had DFW based pilots vote not been suppressed?

It must take some gall to maintain that the SPA ALPA isnt the same when the encumbents went all out to keep it the same. Standing by for Manflex's rebutal in 5, 4, 3, 2,
.......

*an informal assessment of the room says that one DFW pilot voted for LAS, and four LAS pilots voted for the DFW based candidate. Who do you truly think the bi-partisan candidate was?

Impossible he and I are currently at Red Lobster plotting our next move. Please, from here on out only refer to us as the "Rogue Red Lobstermen". It's where I plotted my famous over throw of the Flower Mound housing association that I currently reside in. Stay tuned for our next big assault.

Correct, but we did help Ben fulfill his life-long dream of being an airline CEO during a strike, so it wasn't a complete waste of time.

Is that the pre or post 150% pay rates? (oh, and please don't mention year 1). Right there's your problem, you are looking at rates alone. Cue the "live within your means", "enjoy your time off", "I'm not an OT-HO" speach"...

Lets not make this all about Ben Baldanza. We did get an awsome ALPA pin out of the deal!

An ALPA pin is more than what we got out of LOA 35 and LOA 37 combined in the last contract.
