Pilot's professional compensation has nothing to to with what label the CEO chooses for the airline, any airline. We all pass the same check rides, regardless of where we work.
The single determining factor if you get a decent work rule/compensation package is what kind of leverage you have as you negotiate it.

Wow, someone doesn't like to be wrong. One thing I'm not counting are my losses. Oh, yeah...GFY.

Has anyone compared the dental insurance that ALPA is offering compared to NK? I believe it covers orthodontics which is nice for those of us with kids.

Alpa has a basic dental plan and a comprehensive plan. Both appear to cost the same. As far as I can tell the only difference is the comprehensive plan does, in fact, cover orthodontics while the basic plan does not. I don't know what Spirit's plan covers. I should. I'm in the waiting room right now about to get a filling.

The biggest difference is that the Spirit plan is subsidized as part of your contracted compensation.. The orthodontics coverage is a plus but consider what you are paying for that in the price of the policy.

You get dental free if you have a health policy through the company. It makes sense to have it. It's not like you get a discount on your health premium for buying another dental plan.

Read the fine print about the orthodontics policy. I believe it only covers up to $1000 of orthodontics. That can go quickly if a child needs braces.
