If every MEC and negotiating member is bad except for FLL then why haven't there been mass recalls in every council?

If it was proven that any member of the MEC was not serving the pilot group's best interest, then yes. It hasn't been proven to me but that seems to be what is being said here. I keep hearing that we shouldn't expect a good contract because besides fll it's the same guys from 2010 which was supposedly a complete failure. How come I've not heard one recall put in the agenda for any of the other councils' meetings?

Chicago folks. The family just moved away from me being able to drive to dtw, back to flying to work. The commuter hotels are cheap and easy but dtw pairings are completely uncommutable on one end, if not both. Been watching ORD lines and they seem a lot better with respect to commuting and the base is growing faster. What are people using for commuter hotels and what do they run a night?

The quality inn might be a couple of dollars cheaper but not nearly as nice. Would do in a pinch if you need it.
The Four Points is nicer still but a little more expensive. It was about $60. The bad thing about this place is there is no place to eat nearby.

LOA 35 says nothing about settling hundreds of grievances? The pay schedule was changed. LOA 37 was the one where the union in charge put management pilots on the seniority list retroactive to their hire date. In front of all 2006 hires. Thanks. Same thing was tried not long ago and was deemed a violation per the concessionary contract we signed.
It's funny how the brigade does and has never done one thing wrong and the current union can't do one thing right. Nothing personal but, I'm just pointing out there are two sides to all stories. Newer guys need to made aware of such instances so they aren't repeated. Right?

THEREFORE, while the present agreement is in effect and in order to assure proper administration of pilot payroll, prevent delayed or inaccurate payments, and to improve the ability of pilots to check and understand their paychecks, the parties agree to resolve the pending grievance alleging the Company's failure to properly administer payroll, e.g., SPA-07-110 (but not the individual claims concerning same) by amending Section 3. L. 2 of the CBA in the following manner:
I misspoke. The LOA only settled the MEC greivance resulting from the hundreds of pay NCC's. Mis speak or not, the substance of my argument stands. You guys keep fighting emotional battles because of what you think happened rather than the reality of what happened.
Nothing personal, but your side of the story was just proven wrong. Might you now accept that everyonce in a while, the people telling you what happened could maybe be as wrong as they tell you my side is? I just gave you truth. They've been giving you their emotional perceptions of a difficult time period. The facts are what they are.
"Someone" wants, needs, for history to show that they were justified in torpedo-ing SPA ALPA's efforts to get a contract in 2007 because "LOA's are flying off the table, they're throwing the contract away" That claim was wrong then and time hasnt changed that fact.
Your contention of the management flying LOA is also incorrect. You wanna rethink your position?

Yeah your right and I'm wrong. Why on every pilot conference call does someone ask about a way to accurately track our pay? We also have prevented inaccurate paychecks with this LOA.
Just out of curiosity. Why don't you just get in bed with J.S. You could then downsize LAS to the current reps seniority and displace them. Worked before

On the other subject, what DID LOA 35 do for us? saved the company the expense of 2 pay cycles per year. What did we get?

No matter how much you want it to be so, the LOA in question was the result of the grievance process and the deal was done by our Grievance Chair and the Contract Administrator. FYI, that Grievance Chair continued in with the next MEC. He was not partisan.
The "displace the Reps" is only half right. Again, you just cant get it right, you're yanking my chain. So you get the last word. If anyone else reading gives you any credibility from here on, I won't change their mind anyway.
The FO Rep from DTW was not displaced. HE BID OUT TO MAKE CAPTAIN.
