The 'proposed' rest rules would outlaw this stuff . . . if they ever are actually adopted.

In the mean time, what does Spirit's contract say, if anything, about this issue?
I'm not sure if it's covered in the contract but the company did come to the union a few months ago asking about the possibility of IRO's. From what I've heard the union told them to go pound sand. I don't know any of the details or how far the talks got but that came directly from the mouth of a MEC guy I flew with last month.

Good on them if they did. I don't wanna sit in a middle seat that doesn't move when I'm supposed to be resting so I can fly back. Big front seat for me please...

Wasn't that "Island nations of the Caribbean"? Defined only by wikipedia no less.

The "island nations" (and reference to Latitudes) was part of an LOA that BV signed....

Well, all they released was they told the company to pound sand, would have been nice to get IRO's on our terms, with a little sweetener on the side. But I'll sleep better knowing that a potential mutual good deal was scuttled to give the MEC the satisfaction of a job not done.

Maybe they told the company to pound sand because the company didn't offer a "little sweetener".

Perhaps, but a little info would go a long way.

Status quo for BOTH "sides"...

I was the "Communications" chairman back in the day. (H.L.)

"We have to keep the pilots informed", OH "But, don't tell them THAT!"

If you don't like it , "volunteer", quit, or move on...

And that's not just to you. There is always two sides, and the truth. Rep. Dem. Bocephus, and the Media....
I TRY to keep a "neutral" ground. Or as some say. "wish-washy". But, I like to call it "open-minded".
