If I've missed something in one of the threads, I'll accept my punishment and disdain of all APC'ers.
Class sizes will increase at the beginning of the year, at least for a few months. This will account for the additional (former) aircraft joining the fleet soon. I know the official word is these aircraft are not for increased block hour flying- but marketing has never been able to keep their hands off them and this should be no different.

We'll see a couple of smaller classes between now and New Years that will be spaced out as to not train over the meat of the holidays. If you're waiting on a call- be patient. We'll need the bodies in the upcoming year.

I attended the job fair in Atlanta, solely to see Spirit, but haven't heard a peep.
No internal rec, I never realized how important that is, now I know.
Some recent hires first applied a year ago. The ATL job fair was what...2 weeks ago?

What I was thinking as well. They have yet to not fly the paint off of anything. Operations is not the one that makes the decisions. They have plenty of places they can put these older planes to use. It is not like they will miss out on revenue just to make a statement.

Anyone knows the status of the old 19's and the new 20's?

Spirit just seems like such a great place to work, I rarely see or hear about such unhappiness as I do in other airlines' threads on here. I've put an extra dollar in Lucky Cat, I'm holdings Rabbit's Foot, I'm making sure my phone is fully charged!

Here's an update: a couple people I know that attended the ORD job fair have received phone calls for the online assessment and interviews as well. So, calls are going out. Hang in there.....

Rode home on 616 two days ago...so that's one 320, one to go for 2012. I've only heard (not confirmed) one 319 in December, the other two in January.

That's great news! Maybe they'll make it around to the Atlanta folks. There were PLENTY of quality guys with great resumes there, I'm sure, so it'll be like winning the lottery to get a call.

Still looking for anything in the rumor of Spirit doing actual interviews at the Vegas Job Fair. Anyone?

617 was at the paint shop a couple days ago. It is now in Hamburg for the interior. Yes, the A319 is coming. A friend of mine did the acceptance flight in Shannon, Ireland, two weeks ago.

I highly doubt it, but I'll be there as well

That rumor probably came from the folks who run the job fair......
