and simultaneously drop a trip on a red day that, relative to
the required minimum reserve coverage threshold, has better reserve coverage."
Its part of the automated process, no scheduler discretion is required.

Shame on me for not knowing the contract. It uses the word "day" not "days". Is it the sum if the days or does every day of the new trip have to be more red than every day of the old trip? I still think the couple of times if attempted what I described before it was not approved on flica and scheduling only approved it once.

It's on a day to day basis, so I believe you would have to improve each day of a four day. I'm not 100% on that though, let me do some research and I'll get back to you on specifics. That being said, the automation works well. I trade trips frequently from red-red in flica.

Emailed union asking for clarification on this formula, nada.

Last week I submitted a swap for a 3 day for another. All red, but it would have been a net improvement on each day. Denied! Called scheduling and got the "if Flica denies, we can't touch"
