As far as the next contract negotiations go,

Jesus people. I understand that nobody want the company to pay us so much that we go bankrupt, but there should be no talk of giving up ANYTHING. We stand to gain!!!!!
Grow a pair and realize that we are worth more, and will soon be very hard to replace!
Exactly!! Listening to some people, they think if we ask nicely Miramar will give us what we want via LOA's. These guys don't manage the most profitable airline in the USA by 'giving' us anything. We're going to have to do it the hard way. No concessions or give backs!

According to the MEC Chairman, stated in a 109 meeting July 2012, we gave Spirit relief in "many sections of C2010 right from the beginning".

I know that we gave Spirit contractual relief when it announced DFW as a crew base…..and we gained nothing in return. That's just one occurrence off the top of my head.

I'm not against giving them stuff as long as we gain more in return. But. Why do we hold them to the contract in some areas and give, I said GIVE, them relief in others?

Thats not true. Spirit violated some of the language in section 24 without any prior communication to SPA ALPA. They took the relief, we didnt give them anything. I dont have the emails in front of me, but to my recollection the grievance cmte was able to come to agreement with Spirit to make whole the affected pilots without going to arbitration.

I just noticed on spirits career page, they have an opening for talent acquisition manager, is SF no longer running the show?

If it's true, that sucks. Maybe they're adding another in addition to SF.

Just a guess, but with the expected increase in hiring, I'd imagine the search is on for more HR personnel. I know SF interviews for pilots AND ramp agents, that says to me their a little short handed.

Persistence. Took me two years, and I'm not the only one.

That's not what two status reps personally told me.
