Default Spirit of NKS

Quick question,
In the determination to apply to spirit I decided to upload my resume and fill out a new application last night. Instead of getting the 'thank you for your email' response I received and email with the assessment link. I am talking out the test with numbers and figures.

Is that a good sign or is this just a norm. The reason I ask is because I never seen this one before.

Thanks

Seems to be the new norm. Haven't heard of anyone progressing beyond that yet.

I understand this is the new process. Without being on the inside, I'm thinking this is the new, streamlined process. I will say, the number of applications and resumes received is substantial, there may be a long wait time before you hear something, the HR dept is working through them all.

That and the odds of getting a call with only filling out the online app (no internal pushing hard/no job fair) makes it a very unlikely likelihood that a call will come.

I know we have a few that got hired this way but ask 20 guys hired in the last year and they will probably all have a strong internal push, internal letters, and probably a job fair or 2 as well.

I didn't have the job fair but I had 5 internals and a background that apparently Spirit likes...l got lucky.

How much flying can SW Florida really handle? Allegiant has been pushing new destinations out of there again and again. Didn't know Spirit was doing the exact same route. Thought we had an unspoken rule not to cross-contaminate before merging. (I'm joking about the merger, but we don't seem to compete much)

I don't think Spirit wants to play the MD80 game again and I know the pilots that were here during the strike don't want to play the "strike for basic work rules" again.

During the appropriate season the number of PDEWs is essentially limitless (that is an overexaggeration but you get the point) from select northern cities down to the gulf coast - TPA/SRQ/RSW. You are looking at swings to the tune of 5-6x from a place like Chicago from off-peak to peak times.

Exactly which "basic work rules" did we strike for? I personally dont see any difference between C2003 and C 2010 regarding work rules. We already had "5/4 days off", no JA, and reasonable hours of service rules. What "basic work rules" did we gain by striking?
