By the end of this year. iPads. Six month transition which will require crews to carry EFB+paper charts. Or so I'm told.

MEC email yesterday stated we won the red/green grievance, details to follow. Definitely good news for all of us who put a premium on QOL!

It said we won? I thought it just said that a decision had been handed down with details to follow...

It said Nicolau's decision "sustaining our grievance" has been handed down. Which means he sided with the pilots. Of course, what damages we will be afforded (if any), and how and when the company must comply with the grievance has yet to be announced.

Now, who wants to start a poll on the next article of our contract to be ignored/ abused?

Anyway, a big hearty THANK YOU to our MEC and grievance committee for their hard work and success on this issue!

Ok, thanks for the clarification. That part went over my head.

Why not just publish the ruling? Instead we need to wait for them to collaborate on whatever spin piece the eventually come up with. Just like the grievance that got shut down 10 min. into the arbitration (401k I think) because it wasn't "ripe" yet. They claimed that one a win on the spot. We took the company to arbitration, got hit with a huge delay, and the MEC called the delay a win! They could have just hit forward and we would all know whats up. Longer the delay, greater the skepticism.
