Youll make a lot more money at Spirit (plus TR in your squadron), as compared to ART. That's assuming the 2-3 year upgrade at Spirit. check out the payscale and don't forget to include 401k match

Yeah I've noticed that. After upgrade at the 3-year mark I'd easily make more than a GS-14 ART.

Any thoughts from those in the know on a guy like me getting on at Spirit? 46 yrs old, 4200tt, 3500 turbine. Most all of it is SIC RJ. Working for a large regional operation. I have heard of several of my co-workers getting on w/o any TPIC. Anyone know if my age is an issue for them?

I'd venture to say zero chance your age would be an issue. There have been many people hired in the last 2-3 yrs that have been your age and older. In some instances, much older. So, I wouldn't let age be your deterrent from applying. In fact, if you look at it from an HR perspective a person in their 40's+ is much less likely to jump the moment United, Delta, etc….call.

Not too old at all! my sim partner was in his 50s (though in excellent shape and way healthier than me,lol) Good luck, really great guys/girls here.

I got hired at 52 with NK this past April and loving every minute of it! Living in base is fabulous! It's a good deal for the airline to hire some older guys since we'll never spend much time on the top of the captain pay scales.

Sorry, I am a big dumb animal. I tried to make this short, sweet and to the point without loosing detail - Fail!

The Spirit page under the hiring tab shows “Is Hiring?: No” This is a change from their previous status -- “Hiring?: Yes 22/month…”

I’m wondering if this is a mistake update or has something significantly changed with Spirit?

Thanks
