Really? I'd love to have a month off Can you give me an example of some things I can do to get some time off? I do an awful lot "not much of anything" and they won't give me month off.

Quick question for the group.

I'm currently out on LOA from Mesa for about a year , but I'm working as sim instructor at ATP/Higher Power. I do about 80 hours of instruction in the sim a month and I recently got typed in the 737 about 3 months ago. I'm looking to get back but I really can't afford to go back to Mesa at this point. So my question is, yes, I haven't physically flown an airplane in about 12 months, but I've been actively teaching in the 737 for the past 3 month and prior
To that the EMB and the CRJ for 9 months. Do I need to go back to actively flying for a bit to be competitive for a call at Spirit?

Quals are:

4700 TT
2600 TURBINE 121
0 TPIC
EMB 145, CL65, B737NG
Bachelors, some Masters classes

Default DFW base

I know time frame to be able to hold a base is always changing, Dfw at one time was 8 months. Currently how long is it?

As you said its fluid and always changing but in the latest bid award it looks like the most junior DFW is a mid-October 2016 hire.

Default Answerrr

I upgraded and am now an LCA.

I am waiting for greener pastures.

As I have been told many times on this forum do your research to find where I work.

I can never figure out what places are looking for in crews. I keep hearing about low time guys getting on and even they don't know how they did it. Been to a job fair spoke briefly with a recruiter, could tell he didn't want to be there so not sure if that effected anything. 5600TT 4500Turbin 700TPIC . Check the website and reapply when there is a new job code. The only thing I can figure is that I don't have an internal recommendation.

Do I need to jump seat around to beg for one?

Also college educated? Could be they see you as a flight risk. The most important question you answer at your next job fair/ interview is "do you have your app in at [insert legacy]? What will you do if they call?"
