I’m not debating any pay figures you guys are talking about. I was saying that upgrades and hiring will slow because of no transition and pbs

It was projected that PBS would effect upgrades by a matter of months.

I’m sure it will all be stretched out. I was debating the individual projecting lifetime FO status. NK isn’t sitting at 177 tails barring a merger/acquisition bringing in a different calculus.

You're correct about transition. May this year is insanely different than last year even though I'm sure it's not all due to TX. As far as upgrades and PBS go I don't think it's really going to slow things down much because our lack of frequency won't allow for utilization that would reduce the need for upgrades. If we had 500 airplanes it would, but it's just not a factor at this time for us. That said anyone wondering why upgrades have dropped off so bad this month just need to look at the reserve grid for the answer. Captains are green and FO's are red. It's the busy season so you spend the sim time getting more FO's trained and when the slow season hits you get more captains trained.

Default Application, etc

Hello, all! I am looking at applying and have a few quick questions:

What's with the "copy/paste" your resume thing at the profile/account creation page? If I copy and paste it all at once it becomes a terribly unformatted mess. The "parse" info function doesn't do me any good either. Does it matter?

I don't meet the multi minimums (military), will I still be considered?

Thanks!

I have no idea, but I would think there is a reason for having a listed minimum qualification. Lots of regionals are hiring and it wouldn't take long at all to get the hours you need.

I was hired with 2750 TT and around 1200 121 SIC in the E-170. There were a few guys with less experience than I who were also hired. It is possible.

So now that we're about 2 months into the new and improved contract, what are the new "competitive" quals? As mentioned above I was turned away with 3000 hours, 1500 turbine SIC, 4 year degree.

It's just like anywhere else. If you meet the minimums, you are qualified. Some are lucky and get in w/ lower experience levels but it is not the norm (same thing happens at all airlines). If you have more experience your chances of getting the call increase. If you go to a meet and greet or two, your chances increase. PIC time, your chances increase, etc. Keep flying and keep applying
