Gotta love airline pilots voting Republican. And then beotch a storm when they can't get a contract and go off on the RLA. It's a fact: of the two party political system, one party has been historically anti-labor and the other party for labor. When it comes to organized labor, MAGA means voting Democrat.

Only one side is utterly convinced the other side wants to take your guns away

Anyway, not to get into a political debate, the original comment was in regards to organized labor and the RLA, which are appropriate for the forum.

While you are entitled to your opinion, that opinion is factually incorrect. The two party political system has nothing to do with the specifics of the RLA. The RLA governs everything that is done when negotiating airline labor contracts. You comments were two-fold, with one being irrelevant to the other. And if your assessment was correct, then why is it that a DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT halted a strike at American in '97?

But it still matters. Who do you think appoints the top members of the NMB?

It matters, but what appears is that you put it into the context of Democrat=quick ratification and Republican=drawn out process. That is just not true. Your assessment or opinion was purely based on emotion, and not fact. And you still didn't answer my last question, so back to you haas.

Tons of community service is great and all for a single guy. How about raising a family? How's that for volunteering? Let me burn my 12-13 days off volunteering instead of being a dad. Let me spend my kids college fund getting a useless seaplane rating. Give me a break. How about thousands of hours of 121 which is actually the job at delta, correct me if I'm wrong. How about managing those thousands of hours without bending anything, hurting anyone, and being on less than a hadful of no fly lists. Probably two handfuls for me

Not in terms of quick ratification versus drawn out process, but moreso federal NMB Presidential appointees who can make the difference for labor. Clinton stopped AA because it carried 20% of the domestic travelers and over a holiday weekend. A Republican candidate would have done the same. Besides, this is a one off thing. For the most part, you can't deny the Dem party is more labor friendly than the Repub party.

Ok. And then they turn around and take those labor friendly policies and take it back in the form of higher taxes across the board. Congrats, it's a circle jerk ideology.
