If holding/diverting is as simple as a push of a button to him/her then obviously they have never EXPERIENCED the ****e hitting the fan. Experience brings humility. Human error accidents are usually due to complacency, not a lack of raw data flying skills.

I don't know about the XJT bit, but according to people who know he actually DID have one hell of a resume.

Took an inheritance and got himself just about every kind of type rating; Helicopter, Seaplane, etc etc. Honors society in school, tons and tons of community service of all kinds. Incredibly smart and incredibly polite...

This coming from those who actually reviewed his resume and helped with his interview prep...

Thats impressive and all but I still dont think hes a better candidate than many of my friends with thousands of PIC time in heavy A/C flying all over the world who have been trying to go there for the past decade.

anyway, good for him, thats great.

ABX Air Labor Dispute to be Resolved Via Arbitration

Business Wire Business WireNovember 7, 2016
WILMINGTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG) today said that Judge Timothy S. Black of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio has ordered that the dispute between ATSG’s cargo airline, ABX Air, and its pilot employees represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Airline Division; and the Airline Professionals Association of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 1224 (collectively, the “IBT”), is a minor dispute under the Railway Labor Act and should be resolved through the grievance and arbitration process contained in the parties current labor agreement.

They have volunteered, they have run their own businesses, they have attended every job fair DELTA has had etc.. They are genuinely great people. So, like I said, great for the 23yr old but he certainly isnt the only one who can check off multiple boxes. Anyway, it doesnt matter, it is what it is. Good for him.

now back to Contract talk etc..
