And this isn't +1 Bendo, nor 0 ALPA.
This is management doing what management does. Their job is try to get us to work for regional rates. Our job, vis a vis our union, is to ask for Delta +100%.
They are both equally ridiculous, and they are both equally likely to never be written into a contract.
So all that really just happened is that management gave us their ridiculous openers. And now hopefully our NC will give ours. Without some obscure "path to parity" nonsense.
At any rate, let's not attack our union negotiators. These guys are doing their best and we should give them the benefit of the doubt. This week is a good first step.
And on the off chance they bring something to us that is so egregious that it fails miserably with the membership. Well fine. We'll do just as Delta and Southwest did with theirs and sack the whole lot.
This is a marathon gentlemen. Make sure you're wearing the right shoes.

The numbers are starting to climb. Several new hires have left. Some just haven't show for class. Number I'm hearing is 5/month in attrition, up from 2 just last month.
One guy left a day or two before the oral......for JB.

The above post just isn't cool because we should be building unity with our Flight Attendants and not pointing the finger. By the way if your not getting transition conflicts, then at some point in the future you will be able to. Don't give away the farm for today then complain tomorrow when you want it back.

Just the beginning... Before we know it, we'll be losing our senior FO's and junior CA's.

I heard we've lost 10 pilots in the past 30 days...
As far as the NC posting their numbers, that would be very unwise.. The NMB would now know what the NC's bottom line is... Bad idea.

I agree we need to be supporting the flight attendants but they need to get their own house in order first. For many FAs it's not a career but something fun to do until it's not. Hard to build any unity with such a fractured group with many that don't unterstand that they even work under a CBA. They simply don't have as much skin in the game which you would think would make it really easy to organize something because what's the risk if you lose, but the sad reality is they would have 2000 scabs on day one.
The company also has mitigated all risk with the FAs because they cannot strike. The company know though that even if they could strike many would cross the picket line immediately and they could fill in the rest in short order. 300 show up to an open house and they hire 60. No shortage in supply there. There is absolutely no reason to even negotiate from the company's point of view. The only thing they sacrifice is a little on the customer service side but they don't care about that anyway.

1. To show that even if the other carriers don't get any pay raise in 4 years (highly unlikely), most of the pilots still wouldn't even get parity with JB.
2. To show the very high increases in pay for only the most senior captains which you don't see in the DOS chart.

As far as us not being to attract or hold onto pilots. If this is the game the company wants to play... Well, they can hold onto their big girl panties... Cus there are definitely consequences.
This isn't 2001 or 2008 anymore.
