While you are at it, look at their trip & duty rigs.

JUNIOR SWA F/Os make more than our senior CAPTAINS

WAKE UP
I'm plenty awake....again, we all knew the pay rates here, we knew what everybody else makes in comparison, and we all know how long contract negotiations take.

Snapping your fingers and saying I want more money NOW ain't gonna change anything. So you can either give yourself a heart attack stressing out about it, be patient and wait, or leave.

We all know in the expedited negotiations the n/c was not trying to fix slope but just get high top end rates. They were going to do these "sales" presentations to try to convince all of us to get on board with it.

IMO It's not that we didn't know the rates coming on board so much that is upsetting as the fact that they were not going to try to fix the slope this round leaving the bulk if pilots here trailing the industry by miles and miles for several more years.

You're right. It's bullshiit and I think they got the message loud & clear that it's completely unacceptable.

This place is a stepping stone at best. Let's rename this thread "Spirit of crap"

(the Chief pilots are the only exception, that is one area this place amazingly got right)
Hey Internet tough guy. If you're so outraged and clearly know better than anyone else at this place how about revealing yourself and your ambitions by running for MEC chairman for the March elections? Or by all means go to OBAP and get in one with the other thousands of likely smarter and better qualified candidates looking for a legacy job. In the meantime stop representing our pilot group with such anger, misery and "self defecating."

Unity guys, UNITY. We lose that and we lose this battle.

Southwest Scope
Industry LTD
United Pay and retirement
Delta profit sharing

Amendable again in 2019 unless we are absolutely industry leading by a good margin

These are the goals. We must stay unified or they will destroy us and we will get to live under a slightly better contract 2010 for another 10 years.

He or she is too new to NK. This person is so angry they decided to join APC in December of 2015 to make their opinions known and try and divide the group.

Holy S-------

How am I the only one this outraged.

The N/C has ZERO, I REPEAT ZERO plans to fix the slope.

Mark my words they will not fix jack ****. The only way it will be fixed is when upgrades come to a stop. Then and ONLY THEN will they fix the junior rates because they will become

Wait for it............ Wait for it..........

GHOST RATES.

Peace. I'll come back on when we get a contract in 2020 to say I told ya so. (Hopefully from the seat of an airline that actually pays pilots and doesn't constantly try and F----- them

Why do you think they got the message and will proceed accordingly?

I know I can be a bit cynical but I really believe they think they know better than we do.

True^^^^^^^

The only thing to take into account is that the bulk of seniority of this group is around the 5 year mark. When a contract is presented to the group, everyone will be able to voice their opinion by how they vote. If a B6 3 year 190 Capt is making more than our 5 year 320 Capts, that is certainly going to be an issue which is both insulting and a no vote for many.
While it is true that many knew the pay rates, upgrade times and the amendable date of the contract, there is nothing wrong with demanding industry std with our peers such as B6.

I think based on feedback during the conference calls and what they get back in the surveys should be enough (I hope). They'd have to be completely tone deaf to think a TA with a steep slope will pass.
