Man we need real LTD. Every time one of these "help a fellow pilot" emails come out it becomes more and more painfully obvious. Get well soon, AP.

Yes. It is time for the ask. Unless the NC is hiding a nasty slope or whatever. Ok we know it is industry standard. Show us the slope.
Also: Hillary may have Parkinson's Disease or something serious.

And short term to get you to long term, similar to other airlines.

Unless you think accumlating hundreds of hours/years of sick time was a stroke of genius to get you to long term? Still having conversations with pre-2010s who think our system is "fine"???

It's not confidential, I assume, since they told you.
I got specifics on a couple items and vague details on others. Nothing on proposed work rules or sick time etc.

I'm sure some details will be shared tomorrow. I'll let the NC do the speaking so you get it first hand. I was not given anything earth shattering trust me.

My general opinion, which is just that, an opinion, is that they have some solid demands in some big sections but then also want rationalize imo less solid demands in other big sections as if we are some kind of start up airline that hasn't quite come of age. I don't agree, 1) that's how compensation for a skilled worker is interpreted, and 2) we are that airline anyway. I just saw a guy that's been here 26 years. I know I'd beyond ****ed if my my compensation kept being negotiated like as if I wasn't a 26yr veteran at the same airline that's also wildly profitable.

Can anyone explain to me why the CP mentioned in the grievance email is on our seniority list? This guy is clearly no friend of ours. If he can't play nice like most of the CPs he needs lose his seniority number and go to the dark side permanently. I figure this probably isn't possible but it's frustrating that there are people like this in the world. We don't always have to agree but everyone in a professional setting needs to be treated with respect even if mistakes have been made and consequences must be handed down. Intimidation has no place.

He was hired the same time as our "International Chief Pilot," 2 years ago. Im ok they are on the seniority list because they are paying a management dues rate. So they, as management, are paying into the union every paycheck. Management having to pay dues does have a ironic justice to it.

Where did said chief of whatever fleet come from? What's his background? He's not a friend to us, that's for certain!

If memory serves my correct from 2 years ago it was some shiit bag cargo operation down in MIA. They change names daily so it's hard to keep track of which one. I could be confusing the background with the Intl Cheif that got hired at the same time. Haven't heard any issues with her. I'm not sure what a fleet Cheif pilot does other than be management's "muscle" so they can maintain arms length.

If anyone has yet to notice, this airline isn't playing nice with the pilots. They haven't been for a long time but now are starting to show their colors more true. This is all by design and JB is the architect. A big part of bringing him in was to handle us and the FAs. Once our contract is settled my guess is he will move on.

We need to stay focused, stop the infighting and unify around our negotiating committee until they give us reason not to. The petitions and the dfw LEC stuff needs to take a back seat IMO. It's distracting us from the true problem which is management denying us our contract for no reason other than they can. They are starting to get hostile because it's their only option besides paying and they don't want to pay.

No need to worry guys and gals. I've got a petition going against Gary McMillan. Audi2000 is involved along with the DFW tinfoil hat club. So basically it's a done deal.
