Spirit of NKS, Part II

If they plan on keeping everyone in the dark for the next few years, while this drags on, mutiny will be result.
If they reveal the numbers they are asking, we will of course have some pilots who will flip that it isn't industry leading, even though the NC has said over and over again that "industry standard" is the goal.

Since this is going to be a LONG process, they need to clue everyone in on the ask, and I assume/hope this will be the case on the conference call.

Your second point, I don't really believe they've intentionally kept people in the dark. 'Industry standard' has been the mantra, we've all seen the emails with 'industry AVERAGE' rates, retirement, etc.... Perhaps an updated version is due??
Your third point, I have it on very good authority that our NC is shooting for 70-80% approval. They know they won't please everyone, but they also know what this pilot group will vote for/against. (I personally made it clear to two of the negotiators in person, and they reinforced where their ask was, meeting/exceeding my ask.). And, for the record, if we're shooting for 'industry standard', I want to be paid for how many passengers we carry vs. others (not airframe specific), read; 757/767 pay....

I want to see the ask. I'm worried that the only reason we are not seeing the ask is that the slope sucks and the FOs are getting the raw deal in the ask. I have to tell you some of us junior pilots are in it for the long haul and there are more and more of us each month. Show us the ask! Show us the results of the survey. I don't see any good reasons for withholding that information any longer.
Survey? No, the company doesn't have that info and they shouldn't know the absolute minimum that will give them 51%

We need to see the ask. There is no reason to withhold this information.
Show us what you're asking for. Specifics.

Show us the ask! The company already saw it so what does it matter if we see it? It better not have the slope. No way that will pass with an 80% less than 5 year seniority pilot group.

Yes. We want the money now. We will negotiate a new deal before we get to the "top rate". The money needs to be where the votes are.
The quasi B scale was fun

If a TA comes out and it's pure garbage, then we can discuss alternatives.

I don't think we'll see the ask, and I honestly think we'll be better off if we don't see it. The reason being that once we see it, the vocal minority on these forums will inevitably proceed to negotiate in public. Everybody knows management reads these forums, why should we discuss what we will and won't accept and undermine the work the NC has done. They are well aware of what this group expects, let them do their job without our interference.

I agree, management will undermine the NC stating well the pilots feel differently. As far as retro pay, I'm getting J.G. Wentworth, it's my money and I want it now!

I agree. If you talk to the NC in person or on the phone they will answer your questions about the ask.
Generally at least. I got specific numbers on some things and more general in others
