2-3 using different names, yes, but only about 10 total actively posting or viewing. I gotta run now, but good luck to us all, its going to be a long ride.

Whatever it takes

Spoiler alert. I spoke with the same MEC guy right after the petition came out. He was frustrated because he wanted there to be some patience. You know why? It was already in there. His exact words were I wish they would have waited another 2 weeks and waited to see what the group thought before going out and doing that.

If I remember correctly the NC stated our biggest obstacle going forward is unity. I don't see much unity in the previous posts.

I didn't sign the petition because I thought it could create some division amongst us. Did the petition work with respect to the retro pay? I don't know.. Perhaps. Did it cause divisiveness amongst our pilots? Most likely some. I'll admit however, I am not sure if we would have just had that call and the email with our official ask if not for that petition. Maybe and maybe not. Who cares. We know where we are now and we should all be looking ahead as a unified group.

Whatever it Takes

This is where I know the Union Leaders and NC got it wrong. We are very unified. I have not talked to one single pilot that doesn't agree that we are grossly underpaid and long overdue for a pay raise.

If that isn't unity I don't know what unity is.

Present a contract that we deserve and it will pass. That simple.

Giant, I don't think the NC got it wrong, they know that we are unified by the "underpaid" feeling, they can probably reach more pilots than me and you combine, their ASK for UNITY it's based mainly on our individual, unconditional support of our team, asking questions when there is a need. But avoid the divisiveness that WE create here, Whatsapp boards, crew rooms, cockpits, bbqs, etc....wait for instructions, wear the stuff that they give you, and play the game.

Sailor, what your asking for is loyalty not unity. I think the members of this union are unified for a common purpose. We may have different ideas, but wouldn't it be nice if ideas are presented for consideration that the NC hasn't thought of?

In the flight deck we encourage our F/O's to contribute. I would never say to a First Officer, "Sit there shut up and trust me I know best."

We should encourage participation. That is also how we show support. The NC and MEC is free to say Thanks, but we will try option A first.
