This isn't true. I know many people getting hired with well over that amount, and under for that matter.

Im guess you were not on the call or didnt listen to what they were saying

They explained in detail why they chose these numbers, the reasonableness required when submitting numbers and most importantly, that they are not presenting numbers with the plan to have them "negotiated down."

This is not a car lot negotiation where we say 10, management says 2, and we agree on 6. They presented numbers with valid data to support them and these are the numbers they will be pushing.

What did you expect? Go in and ask for 20% DC and expect to maintain credibility with the mediator?

Remember that doesn't include southwest of even allegiant's numbers. Allegiant doesn't help directly but it brings up industry average. I think we'd have a hard time justifying to the mediator a number grossly over the industry standard.

With that said, I see your point. Just don't give up yet or go starting petitions.

Beat me to it Juice!!!

You can save your snide tone, I was flying and was not able to listen in on the call. I guess I don't expect much. I will just wait for the TA and vote accordingly.

I don't think the tone was meant as a slam. I see both arguments as valid. 321 has some good points and Juice and dn have some good points.

This conversation and sharing of ideas is a good thing. I would like to see more pilots taking a stand one way or another.

So he's showing his face in groundschool again? What if we all showed up to GS in green collared polo shirts? I might go shopping for one here sometime soon. I'm sure you can get one cheap at Kohls or Target.

Well they have 550 guys qualified to fly their NEO. Can you imagine the leverage if people didn't decide to do this via the Internet and they had a brand new plane sitting idle on the ramp. We are our own worst enemies again.

Regarding the contract negotiations - after having been through the last, trust in your MEC reps. Your expectations will be exceeded in most areas. Not all, but most. If you have any doubt direct your efforts on helping, or applying elsewhere.

That's not true at all. All but 3 of the civilians in my class were at their regional over 10 years with over 10,000 hours of flight time. There is even a very high time guy from Southwest; there is no maximum flight hours.
