Spirit of NKS, Part II
#8972
I saw a lot of unity, except for one D-bag that thinks he is smarter than everybody else. -BTW, on my score card, round one went to badger boy.
Audi seems to see himself as some kind of leader. A real leader, having the info he claims to have, would have pressed 5* and called BS during the call. Instead he is on here trying to take credit for his petition on retro causing the NC to post the ask. I'll go ahead and put the retro movement in the fail pile next to the recall attempt. Hopefully they get a local, but I'll leave room in the fail pile for that too, just in case.

Sailor, what your asking for is loyalty not unity. I think the members of this union are unified for a common purpose. We may have different ideas, but wouldn't it be nice if ideas are presented for consideration that the NC hasn't thought of?
In the flight deck we encourage our F/O's to contribute. I would never say to a First Officer, "Sit there shut up and trust me I know best."
We should encourage participation. That is also how we show support. The NC and MEC is free to say Thanks, but we will try option A first.

Imagine 10 construction workers unified by the end goal of building a house. 7 of them are following the building plans but the remaining 3 go off on their own because they think they have a better way of doing things. Maybe they do, but the end result is going to be that the house will take longer to build because they weren't ALL working together. But they are all still participating. A spectator watching event would not use the word "unified" to describe the workers.
Do you think the company would use the words "unified" when they talk about our pilots? After that petition? I have my doubts. We need to change that.
Whatever it takes

Okay let's all agree we are unified in terms of wanting (and deserving) a raise. The question is: how can we work together to show our unity? That's what we need. Having unity and working together to display our unity are two different things.

[QUOTE=RalphWiggum;2201552]I fall behind, then binge-read a few pages to see 20 posts: "I want to see the ask." .. The day after I see the ask. Lol. I wouldn't doubt forum pressure may have had someing to do with its (it's?) publication..

I called my rep to gain more information on a few things and a contractual violation and asked just that. I was told there were a few reps pushing for this level of transparency for some time.
I'm happy to see the ask, it exceed my expectations. It's nice to see this group come together when we want to. It's a lot more important (and difficult) now then when we were 300+ pilots.

I was flying and missed the call. Does anyone know if and when the transcript will be available?

Apparently Bendo was in ground school today or yesterday telling everyone to contact their nc and make sure they are truly representing their interests. I think the ask made it abundantly clear that they are representing our interests.
