It made me laugh because it just screams the regional mentality, "where every minute matters" and heck, "we dont have time for dispatch to be in on the decision making process." Dispatch is on almost EVERY decision on my flight deck, their name is on the release too. Maybe its a maturation process that comes over time.

I don't always have time to explain it twice to a someone that can't do a damn thing about it. We're a team and sometimes that means dispatch stepping back for a minute and letting the pilots and MXC work something out before getting to them.
