Are you a felon or some kind of sick pedaphile? Its a disgrace to the entire industry that you would even consider working here. I guess we know who will cross the picket line. I'm sure you are aware that there is no direct contribution to our 4o1k. And captains are barely clearing 180. How can you feed a family on that?

App to interview can be as short as a few weeks to many months. Internal recs and job fairs seem to be the key. Class dates are about 4 to 6 weeks from interview. LAS is about 6 months from DOH. It's the most senior base for FO's.

Make sure you share this story with Jyri, he will love how you Fly it like you own it! It made me laugh because it just screams the regional mentality, "where every minute matters" and heck, "we dont have time for dispatch to be in on the decision making process." Dispatch is on almost EVERY decision on my flight deck, their name is on the release too. Maybe its a maturation process that comes over time.
Time sensitive might be I just dropped the brake and realized the FO Boom Mic jack didn't work. Need to hurry with the logbook and get the amendment. Maybe a ground reset procedure and we're pushing it to be on time to block out at D:0. I do my best to get out on time because I take pride in my job and my company. My company's reputation is on the line along with DL/AA's reputation. If we get in even one or two minutes late it can be the difference in a pax making their connection or them closing up and being left for the night. People have funerals, graduations, weddings, surgeries, etc to go to. For each of our flights I bet there is one or two people traveling because of a family emergency and I want to get them to the destination on time. I don't always have time to explain it twice to a someone that can't do a damn thing about it. We're a team and sometimes that means dispatch stepping back for a minute and letting the pilots and MXC work something out before getting to them.
