Sunny Hiring

I had an interview a few weeks ago too. I deliberated for a while before accepting the job. My family and I are just going to move to Minneapolis and make the most of it. From the outside looking in, it seems like a good place to work if you live close to the airport. But I’m an FO at a regional, been on reserve for over a year and fly about 10 hrs a month with no prospect of change for at least another 6 months. So taking the leap made a lot of sense to me. But as said before, if you’re a captain at your regional then I’d probably stick around if you have a pretty good QOL.
I’d at least go to the interview. The experience was really great and everyone I met was awesome.

Minnesota regional pilot and former mil fixed wing with community service boxes checked; no internal rec. Is there a resume service the group could recommend?
I’ve done my best with airline apps.
Thx everyone.
Edit- I still carry a business card around for Rebekah Krone. That work?

1.5 years. I wouldn't expect it to come down any more as they have other minimums required for upgrading that would be hard to meet in less time than that. Those other minimums have been posted here recently.

is this a joke? I thinks it’s 24 months. The pilots that want to upgrade do not meet company minimums and they just lowered the time In type to 500 from 750. Over 100 FO’s have bypassed because QOL on reserve is abysmal! Rumor is the company wanted to give bonuses to FO’s to upgrade. Thankfully the union shot that down. Three planes are coming this summer and they don’t have enough captains to fly them. Attrition is only gonna get worse as other better paying airlines hire. The company needs to step up and pay a market rate contract if they hope to grow as planned. Management wants to add 15 planes by the end of 2022. With QOL years behind other airlines and pay rates some 40% less it’s not gonna happen.

This is spot on. For the sake of argument, let’s say I’m one of those bypassing. No way I’d bid upgrade into the mess that is reserve under this contract, and there are many like me. Fix the contract (reserve, scheduling, and pay rates), and the mid to senior FOs will start upgrading. Don’t fix the contract, and we leave…setting those growth plans back a year or two. People are getting calls to go other places that already have today what maybe, sort of, could be a possibility that might happen here in a year or two. If they drag their feet on this, I think shrinking a bit might be more of a possibility than growth.
