Well... yet another "believe it when I see it" kind of announcement, but on the company call-in today there was some domicile and other news:
-Class sizes steadily increasing
-Still having a hard time covering attrition, but things are definitely improving
-DEN once again projected to be our biggest base with no more new-hires being sent to IAD/DCA or RDU
-Transfers from east to west should start happening en-mass as soon as August while the east coast flying ramps down through the end of the year
-Captain upgrades should continue and even pick up as they will have to to cover flying

I haven’t talked to a single person on the east coast who is willing to commute halfway across the country to DEN for this company. Most would rather start over at a new regional than to move away from the east coast. Envoy is going to be happy about the number of DEC’s they’ll be getting over the next few months...

My hope is that if the DEN domicile growth holds it will help recruiting, which will continue movement up the list for many pilots. To keep upgrade around 2 years and to have a relatively junior DEN domicile are huge for many people. I personally have a few friends at "other" western regionals who would give a kidney to hold DEN out of training, much less be a line-holding captain in less than 3 years...

For sure. A lot of east coasters will leave. I wouldn't expect any of them to want to do that commute. The mass exodus will only help the seniority of the others who stick around.

Maybe that’s why they’re having a tough time with their “paperwork”. The other company might be having second thoughts. I’m sure the resignation letters are stacking up, I don’t believe a word of what FO said.

Each week they wait probably they’re losing 40 or 50 seniority numbers at the WO. I wouldn’t wait for a bonus when you’ll get like 40k over there and grab that valuable seniority.

The only people I expect to see in ORD or DEN are the really senior people who can't take the pay cut for a lateral move. I expect all the Junior Captains and FOs to be gone. However I know of several "lifers" in IAD and RDU who are looking at other options besides lateral moves, but once again it is what you can afford when you are a senior Captain.
