Commuting out of ATL can be tough especially if you don't have any priority on Delta.
Being I am ATL based Endeavor would be my first choice but TSA is givng me a good opportunity by paying for all my stuff needed for my ATP. If things get rocky there and the commute out of ATL is unbearable then I'll make a decision then.

Not much now but expected to increase significantly this spring.

Decent movement. Many of the "lifers" are looking at opportunities outside of TSA

Heard reserves are flying a lot but it is always subject to change.

ORD or IAD. Maybe STL but those flights are full a lot.

Welcome aboard! Just keep a sense of humor and don't get discouraged when things get rocky around here. Its a great pilot group and the Chief pilots are all good guys that will help you as much as possible.
I'm excited to get started and go head first into 121 flying! I'm part of the SRP program so once I get through training I should be sitting with about 5-6 months seniority hopefully that helps some with schedules.

Hello, new to the forum and also considering the Rotorcraft to Fixed Wing transition program offered by TSA. I was wondering if anyone who has been through the training and is now online would be willing to send me a personal message as I have some questions about your experience with it so far. I have done a lot of researched and talked to as many people that I can but I find it always best to find out the first hand experience from the individuals that are doing it and or have done it compared to hear say.

Appreciate your time.

The TSA rotary program is simply an advance on your signing bonus.

All other regionals offering this program, PSA, Piedmont and Envoy give you money for training in addition to your signing bonus.

One thing I will add about the others offering this they are booked out into Summer 2018 so you will not be starting anytime soon.

Default Commitment for Signing Bonus and ATP-CTP

Would someone be willing to share what a new hire must commit in exchange for the ATP-CTP training course? Same for the signing bonuses. Does the cost for the APT-CTP course reduce the signing bonus? I am considering re-entering the airline industry after being out for a few years. I live in the Denver area, so TSA and SkyWest seem to be my best options.

I believe there is no comment but it is payed out over installments over a 2 year period. For example: one installment after IOE, one at 6 months, 1 year, etc. If you leave a few days before your one year installment you forfeit the money... if you leave a few days later you keep it.

Not quite air wisky money but a healthy bonus nonetheless. Gojet has their new flow to spirit, haven't seen much coming from compass as far as attracting newhires, but good for tsa. At least one of the trans states holdings airlines is driving up pilot pay.

This isn't driving up pay. It is a hiring bonus that I'm sure has many, many strings attached ($12k is paid at the beginning of year 2, $12k at the beginning of year 3)! Probably some repayment rules there too if one leaves before 2 or 3 years.

Endeavor is the one airline so far that has pushed pilot pay up to the next level, and zero strings attached to their $10k hiring bonus.
