I think we're making progress.
I am feeling like folks are in agreement that the 767-300 pay is too low.
I recently flew a full boat 214 plus 2 laps to S. America. 216 total SOB's. Take off weight was a tad over 400K.
ATC called us heavy; it was a 10 hour all-nighter. I think that qualifies as both global and widebody.

On another note...wondering if it is SOP for our LCA's to come out on the line and tell us all about "Kirby this - and Kirby that?" I don't care for our LCA's telling us that Kirby wants and needs scope relief. I feel that is management using (or misusing) their connection with the LCA's via their fleet update meetings and having some sort of unofficial expectation that they go out and spread the company word to create buy-in on the line.
That is management directly negotiating with the pilots in my opinion. It almost feels like some form of "indoctrination." Reminds me of flying with Abbot's minions in the legacy CAL training department and how they sold POS 02. Remember PJ in IAH. What a DB. They used the LCA's and Instructors to brainwash everyone that the sky was falling and negotiated directly to the pilots and sort of abrogated and bypassed the negotiating process. Of course, it didn't hurt that CAL also brain-washed our scab laden NC and the weak-links on the MEC.....But, that's another story.
Me thinks Kirby will continue to use the standards and LCA meetings for the purpose of spreading his "gospel."

Every ALPA contract I have had seems to be negotiated for narrow body pilots because that's where the majority of the votes lie.
Aside from those two minor points, I basically agree with your post.

I think this above is so elegant and simple. A day is a day right?
Why is our vacation pay and training pay so darn low? It's wacked. I see guys commute in brief 2 hours, sim for 4 hours and by-gollie they end up putting in a 14 hour day after it's all said and done. Pay for that is crap.

I definitely heard universal praise about Oscar’s and Scott’s amazing speeches at Standards meetings from multiple PI’s that I flew line trips over last 2 months. Totally agree with koolaid TK front.

They (mgt) obviously see value in it, as it is quite spendy to send the executive team out on these errands. That they are eager and willing willing to spend the money and time to spread their gospel tells me more about their real intentions than what they actually have to say.
