All the majors are hiring XJT pilots, United hires about 40 each month from XJT. The LCCs are ramping up hiring this year to take away a large amount of regional pilots away from United feeds. I’m surprised that you believe regional pilots would continue to stay in a low end job to please United...hahaha! What will United do without a feed?
Why the heck would UA need to hire pilots from Mesa, Republic, Go Jet, TSA and SkyWest?

MoP, sorry for feeding the troll, just too much fun.

UA hires 40 a month from XJT. That’s a good one. Being a troll is a tough job when you can’t math

Go long on Spirit!

‘’First, very little of United Continental's growth will affect Spirit Airlines -- especially in 2018. Virtually all of United's planned capacity growth this year will come in three broad markets: small domestic cities, overseas destinations like Singapore and Sydney, and Hawaii. Spirit Airlines doesn't fly to any of these places.’’

Fitting such an out of touch person such as yourself would pull up a quote from Adam Levine at Mootly Fool.......he has never had an original thought either, and hates UAL because he has stock in every one else including spirit.........

Wait are you Adam

Delta and American are staffing their regionals with little or no problem. SWA is hiring up to 1000 pilots this year and they are hiring mostly regional guys. All the LCCs will hire the United regional pilots over the next couple years and that's your new competition. Play smart or lose!
Sounds like a great argument to bring RJ's to mainline That will take care of scope. That will take of that section to our new contact. That will take care of supply and demand of your so called "pilot shortage" at the United regionals. At minimum initially would need less pilots there, stop the bleeding. and at best, we wont need United regionals at all. Wind down while building up. Staffing wont be a problem. We can play smart, United will have full control and hire the best and brightest. But you definitely not wrong, you would be be able to say you're correct on one thing and get what you wished. LCC's will in fact hire United regional pilots. Best and brightest doesn't include everyone. Also not every single United regional pilot will apply at United., -you said yourself you would rather go to Spirit. and thats great! And i'm sure there others out there.

So much hatred towards RJ pilots. Sad! Why would I go to United if I can go to Delta and upgrade in less than a year making over 200 an hour? Companies like Delta hire the best and brightest. I’m happy that United is your dream job and they take care of the pilots. I don’t care to fly for mainline because I don’t enjoy red-eyes, long-haul, or wearing a hat. Let’s be real—you don’t need to be the best and brightest to fly at the regionals, mainline, or LCCs.

You have concluded that you don’t like long haul from previous experience? Tell us about it. I would think long haul flying and the time off it allows for would give you more useful days to run your business empire. You wouldn’t even have to hustle other pilots with your lowball payout offers to pick up your trips. Total win-win! And, nobody will notice your missing hat it Hong Kong. Forget the quick DAL upgrade.....too much misery in a LGA crashpad away from your business interests.

Skyw has to be "Son of Staller". He isn't hire-able at a major, so he is biding his time until the next strike gets his foot on the seniority list.
