A little self conscious huh? Didn’t quote anyone specific. I read it here, I read it on the UAL forum, I here it in the CPO.......I’m just posting facts and saying 750 pilots per year is good enough in my book, flights are going on time and completion factor is at a record high, seems like hiring is doing a pretty damn good job. Carry on 89

You didn't quote anyone for a reason. Point to anyones post in this thread that said the opposite of what you're saying. You're making an argument that no one has countered. My point is that there has been many differences between what management has told us and what we've actually ended up with.

Ok...... just figured I’d post some real numbers for people to look at in a NEW HIRE thread. I like being positive. Which is why I haven’t logged in here for a while. I’m not going to argue anymore with you or beewatcher or 757driver......it’s just not worth it. Have a nice night.
This is a "new hire thread". The fact is that we don't have anymore new hire classes scheduled at this point and have been told that right now we won't have anymore new home classes for the next 7 or 8 months. So yes, it is relevant to the thread and it is the truth. What you've said is true too. Both are true but one makes you feel a negative vibe. It shouldn't.
You have a nice night too.

From an LSC update sent this week....
Manpower Planning: There are no known vacancies or displacements for the foreseeable future. We don’t expect to see a future flying plan from marketing until May, therefore the pilot requirements going forward are not known at this time. There is one class of furlough returnees on 3/05, but no other new-hire classes planned. All remaining transition training, including from the 747, should be complete by April.

MoP, I get some updates on hiring and training (from committee work) that I can't post here. I hope May brings good news too but right now we're being told the signs don't point to an escalation in hiring until sometime late in the year. I hope that changes in May. The company seems to be in the process of maximizing pilot utilization (opinion).

Thanks for putting in the time for the pilot group! I yield the floor to you and will read your posts in a different light.

No apologies, floor, or yield necessary. I'm a nobody. We're all brothers and sisters here. Just different personalities with almost identical goals. We all contribute in different ways. My postings here have nothing to do with that. I've just been typing out my observations.
