I'm old, so will probably get top 5 pick of base / equip
Looking at drop history, I can probably get 756 EWR, but want ORD.
Leaning on picking anything ORD as I live in IL and don't want to commute for too long.
I really want to fly the 756 though.
I commute to NYC now and it has gotten old.
Maybe one more question..... How long to hold a line on 756 EWR if I am there a while?
Thanks,
All of what Torque said above is true, except with as junior as the 756 FO award went on the vacancy, it would likely be much faster than late this year to get the bid.

On the good news front they filled all but one of the 737 Captains opened in ORD so the 60+ unfilled ORD 737 FO slots will likely become available to new hires, so you will potentially have that option in class and then as Torque suggests you can bid for the 756 in ORD whenever you want.

To answer your other question, based on the vacancy that closed today you can hold ORD 756 almost immediately. Once you are on property, you will be able to bid in the next vacancy. Of course, YMMV and the training department is catching up but I was a summer '21 hire and that was my experience.
Bad advice. 756 ORD vacancies are sporadic at best, sometimes a lot sometimes a little. I'd never recommend someone commute to global reserve for a "little longer". Take the 737 and get ORD immediately, be in base, and when a 756 spot opens up you can hold then take it.

Definitely valid points by others - and getting stuck commuting to global reserve would suck. You really have to decide what is most important to you immediately - and what you can live with if you have to stay in the BES for a while.

Realistically, is it possible to get an interview with 91/135 experience only ? meet all requirements except for the bachelors degree...based in IAH. Thanks.

I got a CJO last month from United with NO Part 121 experience at all. I have been Part 91 the past 2 years. Part 135 before that. Mostly corporate background, flying all over the world in long range business jets. I do have a college degree though, so not sure how that factored in to the equation.

Absolutely...I had only 91 experience and was hired in June. PM me if you have any questions. Happy to help you out and share my experience with the transition.
