And thanks for that info.
Post covid hires have an enormous and (for this century) unprecedented number of 20-something hires.
That number is still a relatively small fraction of all hires, well under half and probably well under a quarter.

There are currently a few hundred pilots on property with 2060's retirement dates. Gets toward a few thousand when looking at 2050 onward, but those are very 2050/2051 heavy.

These are actual numbers for the last 1000 new hires.

Average age: 36
Median age: 35
Range: 24-62

At 25, you will be among the bottom and get the scraps, which may be just what you want.

At 25, you can look forward to being a WB CA.

In the last four classes, the youngest member was either 23 or 24 years old. Typically there are only two or three people under the age of 25.

being that junior in class you will probably get the 756/777/787 in EWR. You have to be senior to hold 737 or 320 in class.
Based on the past month, this is incorrect. There are often only two or three 777 seats, plus zero to two 787 seats. In the last few classes, the WB seats were all taken by pilots in the top 2/3 of the class. In the feb 28 class, the youngest five pilots all got assigned the 737.

Every week is different. Some weeks have 756 seats available, some don’t. Some weeks the 777 seats are SFO only, but some weeks there is EWR777 available as well. What you have to choose from will depend on the preferences of those older than you in your class. Just make a preference list, and then wait til day 1 and see.

Agree with above.

BUT the category is small enough that time to hold will jump around a lot. One guy gets divorced, another guy moves to EWR because his kid starts college, etc ... or maybe they don't

Also .... the junior guy corresponds more or less with the post-covid hiring binge. It could take two years to get six months further along the hire list.
