Airbus xlr will probably go senior when it gets here.

It’ll go senior for a few bid periods, then the attraction of 15-hr 3-days will wear off. Just my guess.

the rest of the Airbus bases may see a few if a route requires it for length and or lay flat seats (looking at you Hawaii or South America)
but a 15 hour 3 day already is the norm at least for DC. So a two leg trip vs 6-10 legs for the same pay is usually more desirable.
and the 321 will be flying slower then what currently goes transatlantic. A 756 trip to DUB pays 15:10. Add probably another 30 mins to that for a 321. CDG on a 777 pays 16. So a 321 doing similar lengths would pay much more each trip since it can’t do .84 but only .80 under the best of circumstances.

realistically EWR and IAD will see the majority of the XLR’s as they will replace current 757 flying and augment existing international routes (if slots available) and new international markets.

5:20 (or 5:30) Per pay Day is so important!
Higher International Override
Night Override
3 man (and/or wo) on any ETOPS Flight
are so important.
When you don't think "they will do that".. they will if it's in the Contract and given a chance.
No doubt that the 321's will replace the 752's before the end of the next contract, and that the 78's will replace the 763's when we are passed the next contracts Amendable date.

Block hours per duty day
EWR averages 5:08 (only 2 trips average greater then 6 hours per duty)
IAD averages 5:18 (7 trips average greater then 6 per duty)
Yes that is block time, not credit but that’s all the stats that are available.

it’s not broken down per seniority but for 3day trips in April:
Block hours per duty day
EWR averages 5:08 (only 2 trips average greater then 6 hours per duty)
IAD averages 5:18 (7 trips average greater then 6 per duty)
